Experiential Learning
Experiential learning is the educational approach that asserts students learn best through direct experience: navigating challenges, adapting, and creating new knowledge themselves, in their immediate experience, and connected to broader ideas and the larger world. There are many benefits to experiential learning, whether embedded in courses or as a stand-alone program. Care needs to be taken in approaching experiential learning effectively, however, to make it authentic and meaningful.
