Innovation in Higher Ed:
Making Experiential Learning Programs Effective

March 9, 2021
9am PST/12pm EST
Zoom Webinar (1 hour)

Webinar Description

Experiential learning has students learn directly from first-hand experience, typically embedded in a practice or field. There are many benefits to offering a formal experiential learning program at a college or university, including enhancing educational opportunities, creating partnerships between institutions and external organizations, and providing career development opportunities. But how do we set up experiential learning programs well? How do they integrate with curricular and other structural features of the institution, and set up students for success?

Bennington College and Prescott College, both members of the Consortium for Innovative Environments in Learning, have been operating campus-wide experiential learning programs for decades. Come learn from their experiences about how best to approach the development, implementation, and refinement of experiential learning programs, and what lessons you can take back to your own institution.
